We went to the Death Cab for Cutie/ Tegan and Sara/ The New Pornographers show at the Hollywood Bowl last night. It was a long day so I had to leave before the show ended but Thomas was a lucky bastard and got to see this:
Remember that time we barely had a smoke machine? Baby steps?

San Francisco

San Francisco was beautiful. Thank you to everyone who packed the lex and made the room even hotter. We never ever wanted to leave.

Moments to Remember:
Selling a CD on the Bay Bridge to make the toll
Free haircut on a rooftop
Accidental marching
2 block bus ride
Brunch
Lost phone/found phone
Nap on a bathroom floor
Lost car/found car
Playing for a crowded room
San Francisco sunset

Thanks again to everyone who stumbled into our show. We'll back for you soon.

Toohey Pride
We've officially started recording our second album. T-bone (Thomas) and I have yet to decide between a full length or an E.P. but either way, we're extremely excited. This will be the first album that Thomas and I are writing and recording together. Ever.
Meghan Toohey has been helping out through this process, which is something else we're pretty excited about. She's so legit she even has her own Wikipedia entry. Even more legit is this video of Meghan playing guitar for Lenka on Conan O'Brien:
Toohey will also be playing drums with us when we go up to San Francisco later this month to play San Francisco Pride. We'll be playing at the Lexington at 3pm before the Dyke March. So if you're going to be in San Francisco for Pride, we'd love if you came and had a drink with us first.

Summer Gold
ok ok ok, I know we owe you updates so here they are:
The last couple of weeks were really busy for us. We played a really rad show with Bruises, Black Kites, and the Miles Approach at the Scene in Glendale. Thank you to all the other bands and everyone who came. If you weren't able to be there, you missed the debut of our new song Summer Gold along with Amelia's laser. Thank goodness we live in the future and a friend in the audience captured the whole thing:
Note: You can also find this video on youtube.
A few weeks ago I mentioned in our newsletter that my brother Pablo (http://www.pabloproenza.com) was going to have a film released on IFC films. Well last week it finally happened! For more information, news, or just to watch the trailer click here. When you watch the film, be sure to watch it the whole way though to hear the song I wrote for the closing credits!
Final thank yous to everyone who stuck it out with us this past Saturday. This was our first attempt to play two shows in one day, and while it wasn't the easiest to lug our equipment from West Los Angeles to East Los Angeles it was worth it. Your energy is contagious. Thank you. We'd much rather catch good times than the swine flu.
