Wiltern Show, Part 1

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of drumming at the Wiltern with a 25-piece electro-circus band called the Mutaytor-- quite a sight to see. Saul Williams and the Yard Dogs Road Show opened for us, and we opened for Les Claypool, the headliner. That's me in the spotlight on the left up above.

In the future, you'll see a blog entitled "Wiltern Show, Part 2." It'll be accompanied by another image of the stage along with its performers, only this time there will only be four individuals--this will be the Cartographers.

Shoot Me

We took some whiskey and promo shots this weekend. Special thanks to Sonia Zopuyan and Amanda McGough.

More to come soon.

P.S. Maria is home and doing great!

Mami of the West Side Story

This is Maria:

She followed Thomas and I home one late afternoon and never left. Do to her ruffian ways, Thomas and I assumed she was a boy and named her Massimo. It wasn't until she started "running around" with the boys in the neighborhood that we realized she was, in fact, a girl.

Carlos. Victor. We're onto you.

Thomas dragged me out of bed this morning to get her spayed. She's in surgery right now and we wont be able to pick her up in the morning, so everyone hope for the best.

besos,

Laura

Laura's photoshop skillz aren't much better....

But I tried. Post this where you can and come to the show! Not sure if this costs, but I'm certain it's all ages. So if you're 6, heres your chance to see us.

This is going to be a rad show. Rachel Cantu puts on a really moving show and we haven't seen the girls from White Carriage since they got a new drummer. Not to mention, last time we played a show with Rachel Cantu, Katherine Moening and Clea Duvall showed up (OMG?!).

Anyway, I hope you're enjoying our new blog. I added a music player. Can you listen and read at the same time? It's not as easy as you think.
